Behind the Screens: Consume, create, connect

20 Oct, 2023 | Return|

"Asian economies are the formation of new markets that are being aided by the intersection of technology and rising household incomes. To me, when these two things come together, it creates fertile ground for entrepreneurs and business people to bring their craft, to create new ideas that start resonating."

Taking the microphone for this week's Behind the Screens was Sharat Shroff, fund manager of the A-Rated Matthews Asia Pacific Tiger fund. In this short episode, Sharat shares the team's consume, create and connect approach to finding ideas and building portfolios and why they are excited about the innovative business models being unleashed on the Asian ecosystem. He continues to discuss the technological developments which are enabling growth in the region, as well as why de-risking could be a challenge.
