Behind the Screens: Europe and the energy transition

30 Jun, 2023 | Return|

"Looking forward, some of the smaller companies in Europe are perfectly positioned with some of the best technology to take advantage of the vast transition which is happening now."

European equities have been fairly unloved over the last decade, but joining us this week to share why the continent offers exciting growth prospects and income opportunities is Mike Clements and Pras Jeyanandhan, fund managers of the VT Downing European Unconstrained Income fund which holds a Positive Prospect rating. In this 20-minute episode, Mike and Pras argue that it is often the smaller companies which offer the most interesting value plays, before discussing why Europe is at the forefront of the technology to support the energy transition and how they're looking to combine growth and good income characteristics to offer diversification for investors.
