Valuations, resilience and shifting sentiments

18 Apr, 2023 | Return|

Following a year characterised by volatility and turbulence, 2023 got off to a strong start and though we aren't out of the woods yet, most asset classes ended the quarter in positive territory.

In this quarter's Talking Research podcast, our team of analysts, who are at the coalface speaking with managers on a regular basis, share insight on what they have been hearing to help make sense of what is happening in the market:

  • Fixed income: What camps are managers sitting in when it comes to interest rates and credit risk, and how are they positioning themselves to reflect their views?
  • Multi-asset: How has sentiment amongst managers changed over the past 12 weeks, and what tools are they using to take advantage of the current macro environment?
  • Equity: Where are valuations looking more attractive, and what opportunities can provide resilience in volatile markets?
